Speaker:  Mr. Rohit Kumar VERMA

Speech Title:  Healthcare - Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

Lunch Fee: HKD330

About the Speaker :

Mr. Rohit Kumar VERMA is a public speaker, leader, TEDx organiser, community mobiliser, writer, linguist, and even and occasional poet, rapper, “dancer” and dramatist. Rohit was born and raised in Hong Kong and went to Diocesan Boys’ School for his high school, later going to The Chinese University of Hong Kong - where he received numerous accolades and became a landmark student, accomplishing many firsts for an ethnic minority student. He graduated with a First Class Honours, and his particular interest in healthcare is Health Systems, Economics and Financing.

After graduation, Rohit decided to continue to pursue further studies in Medicine, and is currently a fourth-year student at The University of Hong Kong, becoming the first minority to pursue Medicine as a postgraduate in Hong Kong’s history (and got a lot of press coverage for his personal story). He currently aspires to become a surgeon in the future once he graduates, and is always looking to break new grounds in the field of Medicine by marrying his interest in research, writing, speaking and advocacy. One last fun fact: Rohit speaks seven languages to various degrees of fluency, and is extremely chatty - so do come up to him and make yourself known!
