About the Speaker :
Mr Wilson HO Chi Kin is a highly accomplished entrepreneur, engineer, and educator based in Hong Kong, with a deep expertise in AI technology. He is the Founder and Chairman of RediX Technology, a renowned technology corporation known for its cutting-edge consumer electronics products and sustainable solutions. With over 30 years of experience in chipset R&D, electronic product hardware and software production, Mr Ho has established himself as a leading figure in the AI industry.
Mr Ho's academic journey began at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering with honours in 1996. He further pursued his passion for AI technology and completed a Master's degree in Industrial Automation in 2001, also from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His advanced studies equipped him with a deep understanding of AI application processors, modems, connectivity technologies, and complete stacks, from firmware to application layers.
With his extensive expertise in AI technology, Mr Ho has spearheaded numerous initiatives and projects. He is actively involved in chipset-related software technical engagements with external parties, including customers and partners. He holds the final point of escalation for all internal and external software engineering issues related to mobile and gaming products, demonstrating his in-depth knowledge of AI-driven software solutions.
In addition to his role at RediX Technology, Mr Ho holds significant positions in various industrial associations and organizations. He currently serves as the Technology R&D Director of the Hong Kong Intelligent Property Management Association and the Director of Scientific & Technological Invention and Foreign Affairs Liaison at the Enviro Tech Foundation.
Furthermore, he is the Chairman of the Greater Bay Area Quality Education Association (GBAQEA), showcasing his commitment to advancing AI technology in the education sector.
As an educator, Mr Ho has made substantial contributions to the field of AI education. He has served as a tutor and lecturer, delivering courses on topics such as artificial intelligence, smart city applications, and AI innovation. His teaching engagements have empowered students with specialized knowledge in AI technology and its vast potential across various industries.
