Place: Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel
Speaker: Christina CHUA
Speech Title: Reaching the Unreachable
Lunch Fee: HKD400
About the Speaker :
Ms. Christina CHUA established her successful California based asset management firm in late 1980. At the time the burden of reaching and communicating with the next generation began to weigh heavily on her as well as her brother, Joseph, simultaneously.
In 1993 they decided to return to Hong Kong and subsequently co-founded in 2000 The CEO Foundation (CEO), a charitable institution under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (Cap 112) (the IRO).
In 2003, they instigated their first Family Anew (FA) project, FA Foster Care program, in Luoyang, China. In the following nearly two decades, hundreds of lives were touched and changed positively through their subsequent FA programs. Beneficiaries included disabled orphans, children in distress, and youth in poverty.
Back in HK since 2018, CEO utilizes AAI (Animal Assisted Intervention) to liberate the emotionally imprisoned youth and adults, such as those suffering SAD (Social Anxiety Disorder), PTSD (Post Traumatic Syndrome Disorder), through the HI (Human-animal Interactive) Partner program. Together with their trained canine partners, beneficiaries experience FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE.
