About CEO Foundation:
The CEO Foundation (“CEO”) was founded and registered as a charity foundation in Hong Kong since 2000 (Registered No.: 91/5833), and became a WiseGiving Charity since 2013. CEO aims to demonstrate “Love in Actions” towards the underprivileged, the hurt and the poor, not merely through financial subsidy but through activating a network of relevant service and support. With such vision at hand, the Family Anew (FA) Movement sprung forth as a mean to make the dream come true.
The CEO Foundation instigated the FA Foster Care Program in Luoyang China since 2003 and over the last decade has successfully helped many abandoned disabled orphans regain parental care and love in a stable nuclear-family environment. The program provides for the children not merely financial subsidy but also a network of relevant services and support. After a decade of diligence in advocating the well-being for these children, the outstanding effects seen specifically in them affirms a positive influence to the community and has caused a paradigm shift of mentality in the Chinese culture at large in view of disabled orphans. Today, CEO is highly regarded by the Henan/Luoyang governing authorities.
In 2012, CEO was invited to assist the regional authority to tackle the poverty issue affecting the welfare of children in Luoning, one of the poorest counties nationwide. In early 2013 CEO set off the FA Apprenticeship Program through cooperating with the municipal Head of Civil Services. The new program targets to reach nearly twenty thousands children currently living in extreme hardship and below national poverty line. It focuses on character-building, academic tutoring, and creativity development. In the coming years, train-the-trainer classes will be offered to hundreds of local teachers in the county (inclusive of 18 towns and 297 villages) and social workers in order to reach out to the mass majority of these children. The project is well received, endorsed, and our Apprenticeship Training Centre in Luoning has just been named officially as one of the four pilot-sites for the enactment of Children Welfare Policy by the Central Government.
