District Joint Luncheon Meeting on Monday, April 28, 2014
Speaker: The Honourable Mrs Carrie Lam, Chief Secretary, The Government of HKSAR
It is with great privilege that The Honourable Mrs. Carrie Lam, Chief Secretary of Hong Kong Special Administration Region, will be speaking at our specially arranged luncheon meeting on April 28, 2014, Monday. The title of her speech would be "Public Consultation on Constitutional Development", and she will address on the responds with the Public Consultation that the government received so far on this one topic that created a lot of hot discussions in town and which would also immensely affect us all.
The details for the luncheon is as follows:
Date : April 28, 2014, Monday
Time : 12:00 pm reception
12:15pm be seated
12:30pm sharp program begins
2:15pm program ends.
Venue : Regal Palace, 3/Fl., Regal Hong Kong, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
Cost : HK$380
Language : Cantonese, with English script of the speech to be distributed to non-Cantonese speaking members.
Registration : Registrations should be made with the Club President who should also collect payments and send the list of attendees together with a consolidated cheque to RIC attn. Credit card payment at RIC would also be acceptable.
The fact that our top government official have taken this opportunity to announce the key findings of this public consultation signifies their recognition of our good works done by all Rotarians in the community. This is also a very good chance for us Rotarians to have a close encounter meeting with the top government officials to share our views.
As it is the First Joint Meeting of our District 3450, we would urge you to kindly Move Your Regular Luncheon Meeting of that week to this meeting to show your support.
