Mr. Alex HUNG has over 18 years of experience in Business Consulting and Information and Communications Technology industry. Alex accumulated extensive IT expertise and broad industry knowledge, with both technical and business perspectives.

Alex has delivered a number of speeches and talks oversea, such as New York, Abu Dhabi, India, New Zealand, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, etc. Also Alex has delivered talk for Science Park, Cyberport, and HKU regularly and been the Guest Speaker of the 4th Mainland-Hong Kong Services Industry Symposium and the International Project Management Forum (IPMF) 2009.

Alex started his part-time teaching life in 1999 and has experiences for degree and master degree courses for HKU, HKUSPACE, Baptist University HK, Open University HK, University of South Australia, Middlesex University UK, University Of Wales, Newport and University of London UK. Also, Alex has been appointed as an Honorary Lecturer for Computer Science Department of HKU for 3 years from 2002 to 2005 and has been the external course advisor for IT courses in HKIVE (Tsing Yi).

Alex is now the CEO & Managing Director of Crossover International – www.crossover-int.com. Crossover mainly engages in Information Technology consulting services and software development, including website, shopping cart, e-Books, mobile application (iPhone/Android) development. Alex leads his company and the HKUST MBA Alumni Association to be the "Caring Company" and "Caring Organization" for 6 and 5 years respectively. Crossover has provided internship positions and on-the-job training to university graduates under the Internship Programme for University Graduates. Besides, Alex leads EduTechnic Limited to get the Hong Kong Smart City+ Awards 2010, which is organized by Hong Kong PKI Forum, in the EXPO 2010 Shanghai.

Alex organised HKICT awards continusouly as project chairman for Best Innovation and Research award, Best Student Invention Award since 2006. More than 3000 people in HK have participated. The Hong Kong ICT Awards aims to recognise and promote outstanding ICT inventions and applications, thereby encouraging innovation and excellence among Hong Kong’s ICT talents and enterprises in their constant pursuit for creative and better solutions to meet business and social needs. The Hong Kong ICT Awards was established in 2006 with the collaborative efforts of the industry, academia and the Government. Steered by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, supported by Hong Kong Productivity Council and Hong Kong Trade Development Council and organised by 10 Hong Kong ICT industry associations and professional bodies, the Awards aims at building a locally espoused and internationally acclaimed brand of ICT awards. http://www.hkictawards.hk

Also, Alex organised China Pan-Pearl River Delta IT competition since 2005 for 9 provinces of Mainland China, Taiwan, HK and Macau, of which he is one of the members of the board of directors. Alex held the competition in HK and lead HK team to different regions to compete. HK is the only region that won the gold award in last 8 years continually.

Since 2009, Alex has actively been involved in the World Summit Award and World Summit Youth Award (UN initiative) as a member of the Board of Director and Ambassador by organising competitions in HK, and accompanying the winners to different countries to join the World Summit Conference, one of which was organized by him in HK in 2011 and supported by the HKSAR Government. The World Summit Award (WSA) is the global follow-up initiative of the United Nations World Summit on Information Society (WSIS) organised by the International Center for New Media (ICNM), Salzburg, Austria. It partners with the key UN organisations and agencies in the framework of the UN Geneva Agenda and the Tunis Action Plan and selects and promotes the world's best e-Content and innovative ICT applications; to date more than 160 countries are actively involved. http://www.wsis-award.org
