About the Speaker: District 3450, Rotary International
Asia Pacific Regional Rotaract Conference (APRRC) is one of the large-scale Rotaract events, organized every year and engages Rotaractors from the Asia Pacific region. It was initiated in 2004 by Rotaractors from Rotary International District 3450 and the first Conference was held in Hong Kong. The Conference has subsequently been held in Taiwan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia and Thailand.
Participating Rotaractors can enjoy wide-ranging activities throughout the 4-night-3-day conference, which offers a wonderful platform for fellowship, idea and cultural exchange. During the Conference, participants are encouraged to discuss and share views and ideas on the issues affecting the Rotaract Clubs across the region. With a view to providing a platform for cultural and friendship exchange, the APRRC includes Rotaract Festival and Cultural Night, in which Rotaractors can demonstrate their country spirits and exchange gifts with fellow Rotaractors from other countries. The ultimate goal is to develop young future leaders who are committed to put into action Rotaract’s slogan “To Serve, To Learn, To Lead”.
A decade has passed since 2004. Rotaractors in Rotary International District 3450 would like to sustain the momentum of APRRC and are ready to bring this Conference back to Hong Kong, the birth place of the Conference, from 10 to 13 July in 2014.
