Before retirement, Mr. FUNG Hing-wang was the Commissioner for Census and Statistic and was awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star by the HKSAR Government in July 2011. He is currently member of the Advisory Board on Ethics of the International Statistical Institute, Chairman of the Examination Board of Statistical Profession of the Hong Kong Statistical Society, and a member of the HKSAR Advisory Council on AIDS.
Mr. FUNG is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Metropolitan Hong Kong and Rotarian of the Year 2012-13 of Rotary District 3450. Apart from serving on various committees of Rotary District 3450, he has been elected as District Governor for Rotary Year 2017-18.
